About the Book:
But trust me on this count – she always liked me best without any clothes on. And sometimes you’ve got to play to your strengths when you’re fighting an uphill battle. As a lawyer, I know how to fight, and I’m prepared to fight hard for her. I might have let her slip through my fingers the last time, but no way will that happen twice.
He's the one who got away…
The nerve of Tyler Nichols to reappear like that, stripping at my job, showing off his rock hard body that drove me wild far too many nights. That man with his knowing grin and mischievous eyes is nothing but a cocky, arrogant jerk to saunter back into my life. Except, what if he's not a jerk . . .? He's the one I've tried like hell to forget but just can't. Maybe I’m cursed to remember him. My money is on him being the same guy he always was, but what's the harm in giving him a week to prove he’s a new man? I won't fall for him again.
But how do you resist the hot one…

The Not-So-Hot One
I love Lauren Blakely. Her books are funny, her characters are interesting, and the sex is hot. I've liked her other books, but it seems like the books involving this passel of characters are...less than.
I'm gonna cut out the replay/playback and just say Delaney is not a great role model...an ex-boyfriend (who broke her heart and walked away without a second glance) comes back into her life and immediately wants to go back to the way things were back in college... So, it takes her all of two days to fall for him all over again. Forget he was such an ass to her. Forget he walked away from her without explanation. Forget he didn't even think about her again until he saw her in the park... He wants her, shows her a little erection-action, and she falls into him like an alcoholic into a pool of vodka.
This book lacked that critical moment, that scene where the man or the woman says or does something that puts their romance in jeopardy. This book was packed full of sexual tension but lacking in all other tension. There was no emotional depth.
Just like in THE SEXY ONE, the heroine was much too easy. She lacked a backbone. Everything was just too easy... Again, the hero (Tyler) just waltz in, gave a few kisses and naughty words, and the heroine falls right into his arms. Come on, ladies! MAKE THEM WORK FOR IT, DAMMIT!
Another disappointing tale from Ms. Blakely. I'm praying for the return of such sexy, tense, emotional reads like the lush Seductive Nights series.
