This Book Missed All the Connections
This book was boring--but GAWT it had so much promise! Who doesn't love a good, fall in love with an online secret admirer who is really the sexy guy next door story?!
Unfortunately, the heroine of this tale, the one who is telling the story in first person, is a little too caught up in herself, in EVERYTHING, for me to get interested in anything she has to say, anything she thinks, or anything she cares about--including the hero.
She whines about her job for like 80% of the book, and all the while she's looking down her nose at the guy who is in love with her because she thinks his job as a DJ is just an excuse to party and shag every disco hag who pops a titty from her low slung dress. She is a utter bitch to him and she doesn't deserve him.
Also, how much of a freaking idiot do you have to be to NOT FIGURE OUT WHO THE MISSED CONNECTION WAS before falling in love with a dude who had no idea you were even thinking about him. She was a dummy...all the clues were there, she just didn't piece it together because her mind wouldn't even let her consider that the guy on the other side of the screen could be the "worthless" Jack.
Nope, didn't like the heroine which spoiled the whole book for me.
