About the Book:
Life was pretty incredible.
Until I woke up in his chateau in France, alone. On the bed next to me was a note. There were only four words:
He belongs to me.

You Beta Believe I Loved This Book!
The book returns the reader to the life and yacht of billionaire Valentine Roth and his love, Kyrie St. Claire. The book opens with the two in bliss, traveling the world, having sex in all the best places. Then their world is shattered with Valentine's kidnapping by his crazy (literally) ex-girlfriend, Gina, the daughter of a weapons smuggler and all around bad dude.
After his kidnapping, a lot of seriously messed up stuff happens. Gina, the crazy witch, actually rapes Valentine. Yes, that DOES happen. Men do get raped by women. In this case, Gina fed Valentine an experimental drug that removed his inhabitions and chemically ramped up his sexual drive. He MENTALLY didn't want to have sex with Gina, but he was tied to a bed, couldn't fight her, and couldn't fight his own body's response to her ministrations.
Needless to say, once Harris and Kyrie rescue him, Valentine is all sorts of twisted. While I don't like the rape, it wasn't as though it was an unnecessary and wholly degrading part of the book. It was meant to create an emotional dark period, and it worked. Thankfully, that darkness was eventually washed away by the light that is Kyrie and the love that Roth and Kyrie share. It was hideous. It was beautiful. It was gripping and well-written.
I love Jasinda because she does an AH-MAY-ZING job of writing a story that's equal parts erotic and suspense. If Bourne Identity and 50 Shades of Grey had a baby, this book would be it. Tons of action mixed with utterly gripping sexy scenes mixed with heartbreaking experiences makes this book one that sucked me in, spat me out, and made me have to take a mental wellness break for a month. I couldn't stay away, though. Valentine and Kyrie dragged me back, and I'm glad they did.
Well done, Jasinda. You've made a fan for life.
