A Somewhat Spirited Read
Ellis is a sherrif deputy with a shared past with Verity. She dumped his brother at the altar. But he has a problem that it seems Verity is the only one who can help him with. His investment property is haunted and he needs the damaging poltergeist to stop destroying everything. And he has to put his trust and future into Verity’s hands and hope she doesn’t costing him more than he is willing to pay.
As the story progresses the blend of paranormal suspense is almost perfect. An old town, full of charm and hints of a bygone era. The relationship between Verity and Ellis shows a building of trust and eventually feelings of romance starts to manifest as certain as the ghosts that Verity is helping by solving the mysteries of the old brewery. Angie fox does an amazing job keeping my interest bubbling as I walk through the pages of intrigue and just a hint of blossoming romance. I look forward to reading the next book in the series to see where their romance goes and to read more about her entertaining and ghostly companion.
