Today, I thought I’d give you a glimpse at two songs that would be on each of the iPods of the main characters in my latest book, Chasing Power.
- “Long Gone and Moved On” by the Script: This song would be one Keiran would keep on repeat. When Chasing Power opens, he is so sure of who he is and what he stands for…and then he meets Annie, and everything he knows is turned upside down. “From this moment on…I’m changing the way I feel.” Perfect.
- “Down” by Rick Springfield: Anyone who follows my blog or social media accounts knows I’m a huge fan. It’s not unusual for a Rick Springfield song to make it on the playlist for my books. “Down” is perfect for Keiran. He takes his role as a fairy protector seriously. He doesn’t want to let anyone down…most of all Annie.
- “Hot N Cold” by Katy Perry: I think Annie believes Katy wrote this song about her new beau. That’s not to say that Keiran doesn’t have a firm set of goals. He does. But, when it comes to their relationship he is thrown so far off his center, that he doesn’t know what he wants. It’s enough to drive the methodical medical student absolutely crazy!
- “I Need a Hero” by Sarah Buxton: I discovered this version of “I Need a Hero” when I was writing the second book in the Realm’s Salvation (Council Courtship) I love Buxton’s haunting voice and the slower tempo. I don’t think the sentiments show a weakness in my heroine… “Where have all the good men gone and where are all the gods…” It’s a statement about the world around her, and her loneliness. Until she met Keiran.
When not writing stories of finding and rediscovering love, Constance and her husband spend the hours planning a cross-country motorcycle trip for the not-so-distant future…if they can find a sidecar big enough for the pups.

Constance's Newest Release: Chasing Power
Enter Annie Valentine, the genetic researcher Daniel’s mother has employed. Keiran knows the smart thing to do is cast a spell and push the human away, but something about the way she stands toe to toe and eye to eye has him forgetting that getting involved with a human could cost him everything he values, including his power.
