by Rachel Rawlings
I’ll never forget the moment the idea came to me. Driving down I-95, the radio turned up as usual, a song called Heaven Knows by The Pretty Reckless came on and the idea hit me like a thunderbolt. Now, I’d heard this song probably a hundred times before on the radio but for some reason that day was different. By the time the first chorus hit I’d had a beginning, middle and an end laid out.
Now, that doesn’t mean we didn’t take a detour along the way because I’m also a pantser, which for those of you not familiar with the term, means I write by the seat of my pants. My characters often make a left when I planned on taking a right.
Writing Payable On Death and discovering this new world and all its characters has been a blast! I hope you love Jax and all her cohorts as much as I do!
When she isn't writing, Rachel can often be found with her nose buried in a good book. An avid reader of Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Horror and Steampunk herself, Rachel founded Hallowread- an interactive convention for both authors and fans of those genres.
