There’s a problem with that.
I have yet to meet a writer who only has one favorite book. Truth be told, most writers not only have a list, it’s a list which changes with the year—hell, sometimes with the seasons or even the month.
Last year alone, I read at least a dozen books which made me sit back and go, “Wow. Wow. Woooowww.” These were books which made me want to be a better writer, which made me marvel at the mental capabilities of the writers. These books made me laugh and sent shivers up and down my spine and made me double check the locks before going to bed at night.
We’re barely three months in to 2017 and I’ve already read books by three different authors who are now on my watch list for future releases. There’s no telling how many I’ll discover before the end of the year.
I think you can see why it’s impossible to pick a favorite.
Having said that, there are always books I’ll go back to--Anne of Green Gables. Divine Evil. Relic. Naked in Death. Remembrance. These books were game changers for me in some way, shape, or form. So I guess in that sense, you could say I have a favorite book.
Just don’t tell the others.

I should have known Lilith would find a way to make things difficult.
Three favors. Three stories of lovers past. As Lilith said, an easy task.
